** It is not a requisite to be a member of the Parish Council in order to serve on any of the listed committees.  Please volunteer your time and talents to any of these groups by contacting Father Michael or the Parish Council President.**

STEWARDSHIP

This committee is responsible for the promotion of our Stewardship Program and our Christian calling to share of our Time, Talent, and Treasure and to support the ministries of St. Nicholas. 

BUDGET AND FINANCE

prepares the annual budget, monthly operating statments, sets accounting controls and procedures of receiving and depositing funds to bank, supervises and monitors all cash activities.

LEGACY FUND

oversees the revenues acquired and invested from the "Tree of Life", in order to assure maximum growth. 

WAYS AND MEANS

deals with the resources available to meet expenses and raise revenues for the church community.  This includes the Annual Festival, Raffles, Dinner Dance, Apokreatiko Glendi, Golf Outing and any other fund raising activities seen fit to generate necessary or additional income. 

PUBLICITY/WEBSITE

This committee handles all publicity and media related topics, in regards to all fundraising church events, along with overseeing the development and upkeep of the church informational website. 

BUILDING AND RENTAL

This committee oversees the maintenance of our entire facility and deals with the maintenance contracts necessary to keep our church and grounds in excellent condition.  It also is responsible for the promotion of the Dr. Mary Dochios-Kamberos Community Center, our gymnasium and school classrooms as rental facilites, and handles the contracts generated from their use. 

LEGAL/BY-LAWS

This committee deals with any and all legal matters or conflicts involving the parish, and oversees the adherance of all Parish Council actions to the Parish By-Laws and Archdiocese Uniform Parish Regulations. 

ATHLETIC/YOUTH

determines and evaluates the needs of the youth, including the GOYA and Dance Troupe ministries, assists in the implementation of the various activities, and acts as liaison between our parish and the Metropolis in regards to all our Athletic Programs.

PERSONNEL

maintains open communications with all persons performing services for St. Nicholas, sets objectives for all clerical and maintenance staff, conducts annual performance evaluations and submits recommendations for salary and benefit adjustments. 

CHURCH SERVICES

is in constant communication with the priest to assure proper procedure during worship services.  This committee creates and maintains a schedule of church duties for all parish council members.

GREEK/RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

works to enhance and maintain the quality of Hellenic and Religious education for our HOMER Greek School and Sunday Church School by means of working with all educational personnel, monitoring the quality of teaching materials and procedures, searching for quality teaching participation and promoting and striving for high student enrollment and attendance by the children of our parish.
