Rummage Sale

The Philoptochos Rummage Sale is held twice a year, once in the Spring and once in the Fall.  Bring your "gently" used merchandise (clothing, shoes, appliances, toys, housewares,etc.)   "One man's trash is another man's treasure!"  Our spring date is Saturday, March 24, 2012.


 Arts and Crafts Bazaar

Held annually, our Bazaar hosts the wares of crafters and vendors, along with offering our famous Greek Food Fare, including our homemade pastries.  Perfect for shopping...and eating!  Join us next year on Saturday, October 20 and Sunday October 21, 2012! 



Cooking Demonstration and Luncheon

Held annually, our "Let's Cook Greek!" Cooking Demonstration and Luncheon has been well received and attended the last few years.  For the price of admission, you get a full luncheon, including appetizer, salad, home made bread, entree, dessert, wine, soda, and coffee after the demonstration of most of the menu items.  Our "Yiayia's Pantry" is also open for business with our homemade pastries, breads, cookbooks and more available for purchase.  We even throw in a Greek Dance performance by our St. Nicholas Dance Troupe.  Click here to view pictures from our last demonstration!  Scheduled date:  Saturday, February11, 2012!


Annual Christmas Party

Prime Time, 2010Each year, Philoptochos hosts a Christmas Party for its members at an outside venue.  We enjoy an evening of fellowship and Christmas Cheer and reflect on the good works that have been accomplished and the ones that need to be done.  As always, this event is also a philanthropic one.  All attendees are asked to bring gift cards from grocery and discount stores for distribution to the needy. 


Dial-a-Baklava

A twice a year Holiday event, at Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter, our Greek pastries, tiropites, spanakopites, pastitsio and more, homemade by our Ladies, are available to make your holidays simpler.  Look for our Easter pick-up dates soon.   For those additional special occasions, take advantage of our Special Orders...click here for details.


Palm Sunday Luncheon

Held annually after the completion of Palm Sunday Liturgy in our Community Center, our luncheon affords our parish the oppportunity to celebrate this great feast day together.  All enjoy the traditional Plaki fish, skillfully prepared by our Ladies. 


Membership Event

Each fall, in an effort to increase our membership, we hold an event to give the ladies of our parish an opportunity to socilaize, while learning about Philoptochos.  Join us for our 2012 Membership Tea on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 12 noon.
