MEMBERSHIP

This committee is responsible for the promotion of membership in the Society, through special events and parish outreach and the collection of stewardship to the society.

SOCIAL OUTINGS

Chairperson, Voula Demos

This committee arranges for outings such as attendance at concerts, museums, theater productions, and more, for the enjoyment of our members and to experience fellowship.  "All work and no play...!"

LOVE AND CARE

Chairperson, Pauline Douglas

This committee tends to the needs of members of the community who are in temporary and extended care facilities, and spreads hope and cheer by visiting them on a regular basis and honoring them on their special days, such as feast days and birthdays. 

SCHOLARSHIP

Chairperson, Sharon Sinadinos

Each year the Ladies Philoptochos Society offers scholarship open to members, their spouses and their children. Applicants must be entering college or currently enrolled in a program of higher education.  This committee oversees the applications, check the qualifications of the applicants, and judges the essays written by those applicants.

PROGRAMS

Informational seminars and lectures are arranged by this committee to help our community stay informed on all topics ranging from health issues, financial planning, personal safety, ethnic traditions and history and much more.  For information on upcoming events, please check your Sunday Bulletin, the monthly Orthodox Word, or the Church Calendar on this website.

COFFEE HOUR

Chairperson, Christine Anagnostopoulos

Following Divine Liturgy Service each Sunday, our attendees proceed to our Community Center for fellowship.  The ladies of this committee provide the coffee, sweets and more for our congregation to partake in.  Sponsoring a Coffee Fellowship on a Sunday is open to anyone wishing to honor a loved one 's memorial or celebrate a special occasion (anniversay, birthday, feastday, etc.)  To sponsor a coffee hour on any given Sunday, please call the church office, or download and print the flyer and return. 

COOKBOOKS/SPEROBOOKS

Chairperson, Georgia Sarlas

Our Society has two publications for distribution:  the "Our Kouzina" cookbook, full of our members most delectable recipes, and the "Spero the Orthodox Church Mouse" book series.  This committee is responsible for the overseeing of their publication and sale. Cookbooks are currently available for $15.00 each.  Click for the order form.  Spero books can be ordered using this form.
